Sundry is a personal finance app for iPhone and iPad. This policy is short because the app’s design makes it short: Sundry collects nothing and shares nothing with us. Everything you record lives on your devices and in your own iCloud — nowhere else.
Your accounts, transactions, bills, budgets, tags, payees, and any photos you choose as marks are stored on your device, in the app’s own storage. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else — Sundry has no server, no account system, and no sign-in. When you are signed into iCloud, Sundry also syncs your data to its own private database in your iCloud account, so your devices stay in step. That database is protected by your Apple Account, and neither we nor anyone but you can read it. Signed out of iCloud, everything simply stays on the device.
When you choose a photo as a mark for an account or payee, Sundry uses Apple’s out-of-process photo picker: the app is handed only the single picture you choose and never sees your photo library. The picture is resized and stored on your device alongside your other data.
Backups are files Sundry writes to its own folder on your device. If your device backs itself up to iCloud, they are included like everything else on it, protected by your Apple Account and Apple’s iCloud security; Apple’s iCloud terms govern that storage. An exported backup leaves your device only when you move it yourself — for example by sharing it or copying it through the Files app. Where you put an exported backup, and who can read it there, is governed by that service’s own terms, not by Sundry.
Sundry’s home screen and Lock Screen widgets read a small summary file the app writes locally. That file never leaves your device.
Deleting the app deletes everything Sundry stores on your device. What has synced to your iCloud remains there — reinstalling the app brings it back — until you delete it from your iCloud storage settings, and backups kept in iCloud remain until you delete them the same way, or from Manage Backups in the app. We hold nothing anywhere to ask about, correct, or erase.
If a future version of Sundry changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated and the date above will change before that version ships.
